INSTRUCTION
Final Project (Week 9–Week 13)
Design, Exploration and Application
We were briefed to our final project, and for this project we need to either develop a font that is intended to solve a larger problem or meant to be part of a solution in the area of our interest or explore the use of typeface in your area of interest, understand its existing relationship, identify areas that could be improved upon, explore possible solutions or combinations that may add value to the existing typeface.
The end outcome could be designed font and its application in the form of format that is intending to provide a solution for, or an exploratory process that solves a problem or adds value to an existing use.
Here's the brief compilation of my two ideas.
After attempting both ideas, I decided to work on my first idea.

FEEDBACKS
Week 9
Final project briefed. Still processing references into an idea.
Week 10
No feedback received.
Week 11
He said that my first idea is not very clear. I had to make the purpose clearer on what problem to solve or improve. For my second idea he told me that it may be very hard but it is okay if I want to give it a try.
Mr. Vinod said both my collaterals can be more creative, for the other design he said it's different from what I've been done. For the poster he said it looks sophisticated. Mr. Shamsul said it is well spaced and flowed.
Week 12
He said that the submission is next week so we need to hurry. He said that the idea proposed is okay and I can work on the first idea.
Week 13
He said that the purpose presented however still not clear, he told me to think of a purpose as in a problem and solution clearly. After explaining thoroughly my idea, he said now it is a problem and solution. He told me to put the digitalised work on font lab.
He told me to refine the k and the r.
He said for the application, I should look to my work and think where would I find that kind of typeface. He then suggest me to do apply it in a birthday invitation or greeting card.
Week 14
The lecturers told me to make the invitation more typographic.
This book also contains review made critically to a few typography artwork.
From this book I learned that we need to explore and experiment type design as confident as we can as each one of us has different style. We need to embrace the style and works on them inside the rule before bring it to the outside of the rule.

REFLECTIONS
Experiences
Week 11
Today's class is just as tiring as classes before, it's fun to see other's ideas and how creative they are.

FURTHER READINGS
Design or Type: A Seductive Collection of Alluring Type Designs by Burgess, Paul, Seddon, Tony
(Week 11)
This book is very inspiring as it contains designers perspective on typefaces and they journal on designing a typeface. This book also contains review made critically to a few typography artwork.
From this book I learned that we need to explore and experiment type design as confident as we can as each one of us has different style. We need to embrace the style and works on them inside the rule before bring it to the outside of the rule.
